A sacred water ritual for removing what no longer serves.

Some things don’t need a full excavation. They simply need to be washed off. There are moments when we know something is clinging to us that isn’t ours to carry anymore. Residue from an encounter. A season that overstayed itself. A version of ourselves we outgrew but haven’t yet released. Energy left behind by someone who touched our life and never should have touched this deeply.

The Cleansing & Release Bath was created for these moments. It is a sacred, direct ritual of removal not diagnosis, not deep excavation, simply the washing itself.

A note on the ritual itself (in person): this is not a bath to soak in. It is sacred water poured over the body after your regular hygienic wash  carrying what’s being released down and away with it as you pour.

🌿 What Does It Mean to Release?

You do not always need to know exactly where something came from to know it needs to leave.

This ritual offers a direct, physical, embodied way to say: this is no longer mine to carry. Through cleansing water, cutting botanicals, and smudging smoke, you are invited to name what you’re releasing and pour it from your body, your field, and your space and then, before you close to anoint and bless what remains, so nothing is left open behind it.

I know what no longer serves me. I release it fully. I return to myself, sealed and whole.

🕯️ This Ritual May Be Chosen When:

✨ You feel residue from a person, encounter, or relationship that has ended

✨ You’re closing out a season or chapter that no longer fits

✨ Something feels attached that you can’t quite name, but can feel

✨ You want to return to yourself after being pulled in too many directions

✨ You need release, but don’t yet need the deeper mapping of a specific Chamber

✨ You simply feel the need to wash and begin again

🌺 The Ritual

This ritual follows your normal bath or shower. Once your body is already clean, you prepare the infused water and pour it over yourself as the final step of release. If you have a bathtub simply add the ritual contents in your bath water and immerse yourself in it staying until you feel complete and all water releases down the drain.

The ritual moves through: Naming → Washing → Smudging → Release → Anointing → Blessing → Return

You will name what you’re releasing aloud, pour the cleansing water over your body, smudge afterward to clear what the water loosened and then  before you close anoint yourself with consecrated oil and speak a blessing over your own flame, sealing the space that was just cleared.

You do not leave this ritual emptied. You leave it washed, sealed, and blessed.

Timing ⏱️ 

Self-guided: allow 30-40 minutes.

In-person: allow 60-75 minutes, though we never rush a flame that needs more time to speak.

🌿 What You Receive

Sacred cleansing botanicals: vinegar, neem, rosemary, Florida Water, hyssop, sea salt, lemon or lime, eucalyptus.

The botanicals above form the foundation of this ritual. Some sessions may include additional plant medicine as Ache guides in preparation for you specifically; this is a living ritual, not a fixed formula.

Two Ways to Receive This Ritual

🕯️ Self-Guided, At Home — Perform the full release ritual in your own space and time.

🔥 In-Person, With the Flamekeeper — For those local or able to travel, held together, the water poured over you, the release and blessing witnessed directly.

You already know what it means to book a spa day  to let someone else’s hands tend to you, to receive instead of perform, to let your body be cared for by someone who knows exactly what they’re doing.

This is that same permission to be tended. Except here, the hands pouring water over you are also holding space for your flame.

When you come to me in person, you are not just receiving a ritual, you are received. I prepare your water, I hold the space, I pour with intention over your crown, your shoulders, your hands, and I speak the blessing or release over you directly, the way it was always meant to be spoken: by someone else’s voice, so you don’t have to hold both the ritual and the witnessing of it alone.

There is something a self-guided ritual simply cannot give you, the experience of being tended by another, of letting Mũmbi: Mama Earth, hold you under the loving healing Gaze of Lord Ra(Sun) above as I pour water and speak the blessing words while you simply receive. You do not have to do anything but be present. I carry the rest.

This is not indulgence. This is what it means to actually be tended: divine care, held by another set of hands, the same way you already know how good it feels to be cared for, except this time your flame is being cared for too.

🕯️ A Note From the Flamekeeper

Not everything requires a Chamber. Not everything requires months of untangling.

Sometimes you already know exactly what needs to go. You don’t need permission to release it. You only need the water, the smoke, and the willingness to let it leave.

We never cleanse without sealing. What we release, we also anoint. What we clear, we also bless. You do not leave this ritual open you leave it tended, sealed, and whole.
