 Sometimes we don’t need to release anything. We simply need to prepare ourselves to arrive.

The Preparation & Flame Blessing Bath was created for these moments. It is a sacred bathing ritual for the woman who wishes to pause before she proceeds, to tend her body, gather her intention, bless her flame, and consciously prepare herself for what she is about to step into.

This is not a ritual of fixing. It is not a ritual for when something has gone wrong. It is a ritual of readiness.

🌿 What Does It Mean to Bless Your Flame?

Before you enter a significant moment, you can choose how you wish to arrive. Grounded rather than scattered. Present rather than hurried. Clear rather than consumed by fear. Open rather than contracted.

The bath creates a moment to step away from the noise surrounding the threshold and return to the body that will carry you across it. Through warm water, sacred botanicals, intentional bathing, and Flame blessing, you are invited to mark the moment consciously.

🌺 The Ritual

Your Preparation & Flame Blessing Bath is designed to create a deliberate pause before your chosen moment. You will be guided to prepare your bathing space, enter the water with intention, or pour over your crown, work with the provided ritual botanicals, and speak your blessing over the flame you are carrying into the threshold.

The ritual moves through: Preparation → Grounding → Intention → Flame Blessing → Entry

Rather than rushing directly toward what comes next, you are given permission to arrive before you enter.

Timing ⏱️ 

Self-guided: allow 30-40 minutes.

In-person: allow 60-75 minutes, though we never rush a flame that needs more time to speak.

🌿 What You Receive

• Sacred bathing botanicals, hand-prepared: Florida Water, bay leaf, basil, neem, cinnamon, rosemary, ginger and consecrated oil for the Flame Blessing.

The botanicals above form the foundation of this ritual. Some sessions may include additional plant medicine as Ache guides in preparation for you specifically; this is a living ritual, not a fixed formula.

• Closing blessing script, to read aloud or hold in silence as you exit the water/pour over self

Two Ways to Receive This Ritual

🕯️ Self-Guided, At Home — Perform the full ritual in your own space, your own time, before your chosen threshold

🔥 In-Person, With the Flamekeeper — For those local or able to travel to Nairobi, this ritual can be held together the bath prepared, the Flame Blessing spoken directly over you. Limited by availability; please inquire ahead of your threshold date to confirm timing.

🌸 Why Come to the Flamekeeper, In Person

You already know what it means to book a spa day  to let someone else’s hands tend to you, to receive instead of perform, to let your body be cared for by someone who knows exactly what they’re doing.

This is that same permission to be tended. Except here, the hands pouring water over you are also holding space for your flame.

When you come to me in person, you are not just receiving a ritual, you are received. I prepare your water, I hold the space, I pour with intention over your crown, your shoulders, your hands, and I speak the blessing or release over you directly, the way it was always meant to be spoken: by someone else’s voice, so you don’t have to hold both the ritual and the witnessing of it alone.

There is something a self-guided ritual simply cannot give you, the experience of being tended by another, of letting Mũmbi: Mama Earth, hold you under the loving healing Gaze of Lord Ra(Sun) above as I pour water and speak the blessing words while you simply receive. You do not have to do anything but be present. I carry the rest.

This is not indulgence. This is what it means to actually be tended: divine care, held by another set of hands, the same way you already know how good it feels to be cared for, except this time your flame is being cared for too.
